A lifelong learner with a passion for cybersecurity, Derek holds a Master of Science in Information Security as well as a CompTIA Security+ certification. He also earned a Master’s in Administration of Justice and a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice—graduating Magna Cum Laude and being inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society.
Before joining Rynoh, Derek dedicated 21 years to service in the U.S. Navy, where he was honorably discharged and continues to maintain an active Secret Security Clearance. His military background shaped the discipline, integrity, and resilience he brings to every client interaction and internal initiative.
